Our Model:

Nourishing the North Shore recognizes that creating a just food system cannot be achieved alone, and thus believes partnerships built on trust, respect and collaboration is the most effective way to create systemic change. To accomplish our work we utilize existing resources within the community, such as our farmers and food access partners (listed below) to bring local produce to everyone’s table. We believe all of our neighbors deserve to participate in their local food system, by having the power to choose where their food comes from. When people are given the power to choose it is an investment into our local economy, our green spaces, our community, and a sustainable future.

Our Food Access Partners:

Our work could not be accomplished without our broad ecosystem of food producers and food access partners, working together to achieve our mission.

Our Farm Partners:

Our produce comes from farms across northern Essex County and southern New Hampshire. We prioritize partnering with farms that use sustainable growing methods, (many of them certified organic), provide their employees a living wage, and are preserving critical areas of open space. Our produce is fresh, nutrient-dense, and comes from sources we know and trust.
