Healthy local produce on every person's plate
Supporting a Nourished North Shore:

Our Work

Since 2015, Nourishing the North Shore has been connecting the community to fresh, local produce, farms, and gardening resources. We invite you to join us in our effort to create a more inclusive and just local food system!

Increasing access to local Produce:

VEGOUT

Our VEGOUT program makes it easier for individuals and families to access healthy, locally grown produce. Throughout the year we source a wide variety of in-season vegetables from Essex County farmers and deliver them directly to our food access partners, including food pantries, mobile markets and meal programs. All produce is free to guests. Click the link below to view a seasonal vegetable list.

Farm SHARE

Our Farm SHARE program connects community members to local CSAs (community supported agriculture) at an affordable price. Participants choose from our list of farm partners and pick up a bag of freshly harvested vegetables from that location weekly, June – October. Learn more about eligibility at the link below.

Annual β€œPay-What-You-Can” Seedling Sale

Start your garden off right with healthy seedlings! This is a free, public event we host each year to encourage our community to experience the benefits of growing your own food. All proceeds support our programs. Stay tuned for our 2025 Seedling List!

Ways to Help

To create a local food system where everyone is empowered to participate, we all must do our part. Stay updated on ways you can help by following us on Facebook and Instagram, and signing up for our newsletter.

Volunteer with Nourishing the North Shore!

Our volunteers make a significant impact on our ability to achieve our mission. We rely on volunteers to keep our vegetables moving, connect with the community through fun interactions like swapping recipes with families, and get their hands dirty with our farmers. We’re looking for individuals to help with the pickup and delivery of vegetables, assist at our mobile markets and much more. Click the link below to fill out our Volunteer Inquiry Form and our volunteer coordinator will reach out with current opportunities. Any Questions? Please email us!

I believe in healthy, local produce for all!
